Reno Aces - Various Dates in May

Aceball continues in May at Greater Nevada Field in Downtown Reno. Reno Aces homestands will be May 7-12 against the Tacoma Rainiers (Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners) and May 28-31 against the Sacramento Bees (the San Francisco Giants Triple-A affiliate). Hot August Nights Spring Fever Revival - May 17-18

Classics cars will take over the parking lot at the Grand Sierra Reorts on May 17-18 for the Hot August Nights Spring Fever Revival. This annual event will showcase 1979 and older cars, pickup-size trucks, and emergency vehicles. This event is sure to get your engines revved up and ready for a summer of classic car events. Seedling Sale at the Great Basin Community Food Cooperative - May 18th

The 2024 Seedling Sale at the Great Basin Community Food Cooperative in Reno will be held on Saturday, May 18th from 8 am - 12 pm. This annual event offers the opportunity to jump-start your garden by purchasing seedlings directly from farmers. Seedlings can be preordered and picked up during the event. Any seedlings not pre-ordered will be sold at the event on a first-come first-serve basis. The event will be held at 240 Court St. Reno, NV 89501. Chili on the Comstock - May 18-19

Head up the hill to Virginia City on May 18-19 to pick your favorite chili at the 42nd Chili on the Comstock. This International Chili World Qualifier takes over Virginia City with mouth-watering chili. Sample some of the best chili as cooks compete for a spot in the International Chili Society World Finals. Pick your favorite and vote for ‘People’s Choice Chili’. The event will also feature Craft Beers from hand-selected local and regional craft beers all weekend. Reno Tahoe Odyssey - May 31-June 3

If you are looking for an adventure and you love running, be sure to check out the Reno-Tahoe Odyssey Relay Run Adventure (RTO). This unique relay takes runners from Reno to Lake Tahoe and back to Reno making a large 178-mile loop around the Reno-Tahoe region. The race runs in teams and is divided into 36 legs, each leg averaging about five miles. Things kick off at Wingfield Park along the Truckee River in downtown Reno, passing through Truckee, Tahoe City, South Lake Tahoe, Genoa, Carson City, and Virginia City before returning to Reno and finishing at Idlewild Park.
