If you bought or sold real estate in 2021, it is important that you locate and take a look at the Alta Statement (aka Closing Statement) that your title company prepared for you. If you were one of our clients, we have already contacted you and sent you a copy. If you weren't our client last year, you will need to track down your closing package from the title company for your transaction. It is critical that you take your Alta Statement and forward a copy to your accountant or CPA. This document summarizes all of the fees that you incurred during your real estate transaction.
